After spending the better part of nearly a week sidelined with a stomach flu bug going around the island, I'm now somewhat back to my normal self.
I'm definitely about to have me a food orgy those four days I'm in Honolulu coming back from home leave. I've had the opportunity of trying out different Asian foods while in Kwaj, and keep up with the Honolulu foodie scene on several online blogs, mainly The Tasty Island . I better starve for a couple of days before chowing down... there's so many varied places to eat out in Hono! Because once I get back to Kwaj, it's back to the fare at the PDR!
On the other hand, Las Vegas is no slouch when it comes to Hawaiian and other Asian foods... there's quite a large Asian population out there, and the big casinos on the Strip go out of their way to cater to Asian high rollers.
Post meeting at Vets' Hall tonight - finalizing preparations for the Mongolian BBQ next month. Hasn't been done in several years, used to be a big fundraiser for the American Legion.
